Patient Experiences

My doctor referred me to Helping Hands Work for hand therapy to treat degenerative arthritis in my thumb and wrist joints. After a few sessions with Heidi the swelling in my wirst disappeared and the pain in the thumb and wrist diminished. I'm convinced that the exercises and self-help techniques I've learned will delay the progression of this condition over time.

Helping Hands Work and Wellness is very dedicated to their patients. My therapy plan was individualized for my specific sports-related shoulder injury. What I like most is how Heidi listens, and adjusts my treatment each visit, according to how my body is responding. She is very mindful and her goals for my recovery are realistic and attainable

I would like to thank Heidi and staff for their wonderful care. I was not able to perform needlepoint due to my arthritic hands. After several weeks of therapy I am now back to stitching, my first passion!

I injured my elbow with lifting heavy objects including luggage while traveling for work. I have a high pain tolerance but was taking Vicodin 2-3 times a day. My therapist at Helping Hands Work and Wellness was spot on and my pain decreased by the second to third week. I have also learned to adjust my work and home environment so the pain does not return. I highly recommend Heidi and her team for treatment!
